Windloadcalc.com Partners with Top National Web Development Company to provide high quality websites at any budget
Press Release: Windloadcalc.com Donates Software to Aid CHARLESTON, S.C., August 17, 2011 — Windloadcalc.com, based in Chicago, IL, recently donated structural engineering wind analysis software to Water Missions International for use in the design and construction of towers and buildings that house water treatment equipment. As Water Missions International often responds to natural disasters, this software is critical for work in areas that are prone to earthquakes and hurricanes.
Quote of support for WMI from Gregory Kochmann, CEO: The foundation of our company (WindLoadCalc.com) is based on helping others. After being contacted by Water Missions International and understanding that our programs would help design structures to provide safe drinking water for people the world over, we were happy to help. WindLoadCalc.com looks forward to many future opportunities to give forward.
The use of Windloadcalc.com software will serve a vital role toward ending the global water crisis by allowing engineers to design structures that can withstand the forces of nature and can provide the proper infrastructure that is key to long term sustainability and success of clean water projects. “We are most grateful to Windloadcalc.com for making this possible. Water Missions International strives to be best in class in all areas of our work and partnering with socially responsible organizations like Windloadcalc.com is helping us achieve that goal,” stated George C. Greene IV, PE, VP International Programs, Water Missions International. ------- The global water crisis is real. It steals the lives of 5,500 people each day, most of them children. More than war, natural disasters, AIDS or even hunger. For more than 884 million people, one in every eight, this is reality (WHO, 2010). For them, water is not a source of abundant life, health and well-being as it is for us. Rather, it is the birthing ground for sickness and disease. Water as they know it, strips them of opportunities for education and work, and contributes to an endless cycle of poverty and despair. Charleston, S.C.-based Water Missions International has received Charity Navigator's top rating five years in a row. Global Warming Knowledge:
With global warming, hurricanes are most likely going to be appearing more and more; and the hurricane season will be longer. The fact is, as the earth’s climate changes, the warm currents in the ocean will eventually have currents that will cross each other, which will diminish the occurrence of a hurricane; but this will not happen for years. In the meantime, as the ocean slowly becomes warmer, we can all expect to see more hurricanes per year, and possibly more category 5 hurricanes than the earth has ever witnessed.
